9th of February 2024: The centre was inaugurated with logo reveal

Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Mamta Mohapatra, the CWL aims to provide mentorship, coaching, and gender equality advisory services, while tirelessly advocating for women's rights from classrooms to communities.

The Centre launch was graced by chief guest Ms. Ashima Bansal, Joint Secretary of the GST Council. In her speech, she emphasized the significance of nurturing leadership skills among the women setting the stage for transformative change.

The guests of honour Prof. Sonu Goyal  and Dr. Chhavi Mehta shed light on the evolving cultural landscape and the pivotal role women play in shaping it, reinforcing the Center's mission.

7th of March 2024: Women Investor Education & Protection Workshop

On the eve of International Women’s Day (7th March, 2024), IMI New Delhi’s Center Of Excellence - Center for Women Leadership (CWL), organized a  workshop on Promoting Women Financial Literacy for Viksit Bharat through an Effective Investor Education and Protection regime in the Digitalized Era, in collaboration with the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) and the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER).

  1. Sonu Goyal, Prof (Strategy) Dean Academics, IMI New Delhi gave the welcome address, and the inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Mamta Mohapatra, Prof (OB & HR), Chairperson, CWL, IMI New Delhi.

The keynote speech was delivered by Ms. Anita Shah Akella, CEO IEPFA and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. This was followed by an insightful discussion by eminent speakers: Dr. C S Mohapatra, IEPF Chair Professor at NCAER, Prabhu Narayan, Director of Cyber Security at the finance ministry, Amrita Monga Kapoor, Chief Mentor & COO at Swadhaar FinAccess, Sonia Singh, Senior Financial Journalist, and Aprajita Sharma, Assistant Editor at Mint.

The workshop concluded with a collective resolve to foster financial literacy among women, recognizing it as a catalyst for their socio-economic advancement in the digital age.
