Mamta Mohapatra  

  • Dr. Mamta Mohapatra is Professor and Area Chair of OBHR Area at International Management Institute, New Delhi. She has over two and half decades of experience in teaching, research, training and consulting activities in the areas of Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations and Organization Behaviour. 

  • Her prior assignments include Manager in Greggs of Enfield, London, and Faculty, Asia Pacific Institute and Institute for Integrated Learning in Management, New Delhi. 
  • She has imparted training and undertaken consultancy services in a number of reputed public and private sector organizations including ONGC, Cyber Media India Ltd., Bharti Telecom Ltd., Triune Projects Ltd., NTPC, GMR, MMTC, NSPCL Tata Power, JSPL, EIL, Pepsi Foods, Tata Communications, Pepsico, EIL, Vodafone, IFFCO, Dena Bank, IOB, Allahabad Bank, Syndicate Bank, NHPC, NPCIL amongst others. 
  • An expert in the field of HR & OB area and trained in Harvard Business School and IIM Ahmedabad, Prof.Mamta has offered various courses on Human Resource Management, Talent Management, Diversity Management, Basic Managerial Skills, Industrial Relations, Change Management, Compensation Management and Reward Systems in the Post Graduate Programmes.

Industry Experience 

Has worked as Manager in Greggs of Enfield, London during Jan- Sept 1997. The job involved talent management, personnel administration such as salary administration, staff management including preparing time sheet and work schedules, sickness and leave management, handling grievances of employees of the Unit, coordinating with other units and the Head Office. As recognition of meritorious work she received ‘Manager of the Month Award’ for achieving excellent core growth of the Unit. 

Administrative Experience 

As the founder Programme Director (May 2006 - 2010) of the two year full time PGDMHRM course at IMI continuously for four years, was involved in liaison with industry, organizing field projects for students, programme design, curriculum development, system development, documentation, interfacing with Industry /Academic Institutions and other related activities.

Has been deeply involved in institution building activities and is Member of Academic Council and various committees at IMI

Dr. Mamta Mohapatra is currently Professor of OBHR, Program Chair of PGDM Online Program and Chairperson of the Centre for Women Development at IMI, New Delhi. She has over two and half decades of experience in teaching, research, training and consulting activities in the areas of Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations and Organization Behaviour. Her prior assignments include Manager in Gregg’s of Enfield, London. She has been involved in training and consultancy activities in mostly all major Maharatna, Navaratna and Miniratna PSUs as well as leading private sector organizations in India. She has trained more than 10,000 national and international participants from more than 70 countries working in Government, Public and Private sector Organizations. She is a certified HR Competency Assessor, NLP Practitioner and has acquired expertise and training skills from Harvard Business School on Participant Centered Learning with special focus on teaching through case method. She has to her credit a large number of published research articles in reputed journals and five books. In recognition of her contribution to the field she has received many accolades and awards including Best HR Faculty Award by NIPM.
