Nitika Sharma  

Dr Nitika Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Marketing with expertise in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sustainability Marketing, and Marketing Analytics. She holds a PhD in Commerce from Delhi University and has completed post-doctoral research in Management at the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. As a recognised CRM and sustainability marketing faculty, Dr Sharma integrates digital tools and real-world industry practices into her teaching, including hands-on pedagogy using Zoho Enterprise CRM dashboards as part of her CRM curriculum.

Her research spans environmental marketing, sustainable consumption, services marketing, social entrepreneurship, and spirituality, with a growing interest in smart technologies adopted in green marketing. She has authored 32 publications in ABDC and Scopus-indexed journals (including A* and A-ranked journals) along with 10 additional articles in reputable outlets such as Business Strategy and the EnvironmentJournal of Cleaner Production, and Sustainable Production and Consumption. Her work has received over 750 citations, with an h-index of 15, demonstrating her impactful scholarship.

Dr Sharma’s research contributions have been recognised with several awards, including the 2023 Emerald Literati Outstanding Paper Award for her article on eco-innovation in Management of Environmental Quality. She has also won Best Paper awards from leading institutions, including IIM Bangalore, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Sharda University, Jaypee Business School, and DSE, University of Delhi, in addition to recognition at IIT Delhi and SRCC.

She serves the academic community as a Guest Editor for Cogent Business & Management (Taylor & Francis, Scopus Q2), Associate Editor of Brazilian Business Review, and Editorial Board Member for Business Ethics, the Environment & Responsibility. She is also a reviewer for leading international journals, including the International Journal of Consumer Studies and the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services.

In the classroom, Dr Sharma adopts an applied and technology-enhanced approach to marketing education. She teaches CRM using Zoho CRM Faculty Certification-based pedagogy, enabling students to work with live CRM dashboards, customer analytics tools, and experiential decision-making scenarios. In sustainability marketing, she emphasises case analysis, reflective learning, and contemporary industry challenges.

Dr. Sharma’s work reflects her commitment to advancing knowledge in CRM, sustainability marketing, consumer behaviour, and socially responsible business practices, positioning her as an emerging scholar and educator in these fields.
