Education

Professor Siddharth Varma did his B. E.  in Mechanical Engineering from the erstwhile University of Roorkee (now IIT, Roorkee) in 1985. He did his M Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1987 and completed his Masters in Business Administration from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok in 1993. He obtained his Ph D from IIT, Delhi in 2008 in the area of supply chain management. 

Experience

Prof Varma started his career with the industry in 1987 and continued to be with the industry for thirteen years most of the time with the downstream petroleum industry. In the year 2000, he quit the industry and joined academics. He was an associate professor in Operations Management at IMT, Ghaziabad for more than four years and also a visiting faculty at the Department of Management Studies, IIT, Roorkee. Later, he took up a position as Director (NCR Centre) of University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) and subsequently became Vice-President Academic Administration in the University. Prof Varma returned to core academics in 2008 and took up as Professor (Operations Management) at IME, Sahibabad after which he joined IMI. His areas of interest are Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Technology Management.
