Dr. Narender L. Ahuja is Professor of Finance and Accounting. His academic qualifications include M.Com. (Delhi University, 1973) and Fellow/Doctoral Program in Management (IIM-Calcutta, 1982).

Dr. Ahuja has over 30 years’ experience of teaching at reputed B-schools in India and abroad. In India, before IMI he has taught MBA level courses at XLRI Jamshedpur, IIM-Calcutta, FMS-Delhi, IILM and other institutes. His overseas assignments took him to Seychelles, Tanzania and Cameroon where he taught and managed the professional accounting course ACCA of UK for several years.

He has published two books and several papers in refereed journals of repute. He has presented papers at a number of national and international conferences and conducted a large number of management training programs for working executives.

He has served as a Director on the Board of Uranium Corporation of India and has been a consultant to several organizations.

From June 2000 to July 2004, he was a Commonwealth (CFTC) Expert in accounting & finance with the University of Buea, Cameroon where in addition to training the trainers, he assisted the University in improving its courses and prepared groundwork for starting MBA and Ph.D programs.

In academic administration, he has headed and managed several departments/programs, and has served as Admissions Incharge at XLRI (Jamshedpur), Placement Advisor at FMS (Delhi University) and Member European Union SME Loans Committee (Seychelles) etc.

He is a keen researcher and his areas of interest include financial and management accounting, financial management, financial derivatives and international finance.

(i) Principles of Cost Accounting, published by Allied Publishers Pvt. Ltd. in 1978, was subsidized by the National Book Trust of India.                                

(ii) Financial Management, 1996, published by APESMA-Deakins University (Australia) and used as the course text for their International MBA program in India.

           Case study on Financing Strategy of Maruti Udyog published in the proceedings of the Oxford Business and Economics Conference held in June 2007 at Oxford University, UK.

        Case study on Cost Management and Working Capital Management of Dabur India Ltd. - published in the proceedings of the 6th Global Conference on Business and Research held at HarvardUniversity, Boston, MA, USA in October 2006.

        Paper on Understanding Indian Overseas Investments, published in June 2006 issue of Indian Management, Journal of All India Management Association.

         Case study on State Bank of India won an international case writing competition organized by the London Business School''''''''''''''''s Aditya V. Birla Centre. My case study was selected out of more than 130 submitted proposals. The case study is being published by the European Case Clearance House and will be available for use by B-schools across the world.

        Before IMI, worked as a senior faculty in finance area at IIM-Calcutta, XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS-Delhi University and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

            Was a Government nominated Director on the Board of Uranium Corporation of  India: 1986-87

      Served as Commonwealth Expert in Finance and Accounting, University of Buea, Cameroon: 2000-2004.

      Life Member, All India Management Association.

    M.D.Ps.: Have planned, designed and coordinated several management development programs for working managers from private and public sector organizations.
